Finished the other 5 illustrations in the first batch of Skullgirls wallpapers for the IGG! Here’s the first 4 I drew. Sorry for making the contributors of the IGG wait so long! My last semester of college was a crazy one. Both mine and other intern Black’s wallpapers should be available for contributors to download very soon ヾ(＠^▽^＠)ﾉ

Edit: Oh, and just in case it’s not clear- these are concepts from the brainstorming phase. That means that these are not guaranteed moves or necessarily 100% indicative of the character, but it does give you a good taste of the character’s flavor/style. (heartburn, in Ileum’s case)

This message comes in a bit late, since the first round of voting for the second character has already started, but it’s still probably relevant enough~

Some brainstorming concept attack doodles for some of the candidates. A bunch of these concepts were from a while ago, while others are fairly recent. Also keep in mind that the concepts in here are by no means the official attacks of the character, but mostly to give you an idea of what they might look like, or what kind of style they may posses  This is sort of the first step for our process when it comes to thinking of character attacks.

Top image is Black Dahlia, followed by some Venus concepts. Then we have some Marie attacks, and actually a drawing I found while digging around my archives of Marie’s boss concept drawn out. The image of Marie’s actual boss form is accompanied by the approximate average size of a full-blooded Gigan, if one were present in-game.

After that are a series of Umbrella images- the first batch are some very old archives, and the second batch are still a bit old, but relatively recent.

The last image is something cool I found in the archives as well; a drawing by the one and only Ryusuke Hamamoto. The guy is *REALLY* cool, I must say. He’s been to quite a lot of US cons. I’ve seen him at SDCC a handful of times. As you can see, he drew this Umbrella for me at SDCC, way back in 2007. I hope he’s cool that I’m posting this up here @3@/

Anyway, a mix of of a glimpse at SG past + a peek at the future, one could say.

More character concepts coming up in the future, time permitting (working on the actual game content during the day, of course)

I’m excited to get working on Eliza concepts in the future too. Been thinking about that a lot lately as well~

Previews of Skullgirls Wallpapers for the IGG rewards! I’m doing these in Illustrator so that they can be sized to whatever I want (I could print them to go on the sides of buildings if I really wanted), and it’s really great practice for using Illustrator! These are just the illustrations for the wallpapers; Brady is going to put them in really spiffy backgrounds and stuff :>

We feel really bad that the backers have been waiting for so long for the digital rewards, so Black and I have been trying to hurry it up but we’re both really busy and actually graduating this semester!! ;3;
